The rally legend with 32 victories
The successes of the ZX in Rallye Raid motivates new hopes. In its wake, Citroën develops a competition Xsara. The Xsara Kit Car stands out in the French Championship 1998. The Xsara T4 takes over in 2000. But it's the year after, under the name Xsara WRC, that the legend is born!
Directed by Guy Fréquelin, driven by Sébastien Loeb, his co-pilot Daniel Elena and their colleagues, the Xsara WRC wins 32 rally victories (28 for Sébastien Loeb and 2 for Carlos Sainz).
Three years taking part fully in the Championship, from 2003 to 2006, brings 3 titles of World Constructors' Champion, 3 titles of World Drivers' Champion and 3 titles of World Co-pilots Champion. A myth is born. Soon re-embodied with the lines of the C4 WRC for 2007!
