Luxurious, calm and elysian
Five years after the end of the XM, in 2005 the C6 unveiled its very Citroën looks. An aesthetic line derived from the C6 Lignage concept car (1999). An approach also turned towards resolutely luxurious ultimate comfort. With top level Hydractive suspension, with fully variable and controlled damping. With head-up display and lane departure warning system. With 6-cylinder engines, Petrol and Diesel, combined with the variable opening rear spoiler. With the 4-cylinder Diesel HDi 173 which tops the range.
The innovations of the C6 favour the driving pleasure of a grand tourer. Selected like its predecessors to transport French Presidents – Jacques Chirac, Nicolas Sarkozy then François Hollande – it is retired in 2012.
